滕王阁在江西南昌市的赣江东岸,是江南三大名楼之首,已经有一千三百多年的历史了.滕王阁里有许多文人墨客留下的不朽诗篇,其中王勃写的“落霞与孤鹜齐飞,秋水共长天一色”成了千古绝唱.
滕王阁非常雄伟.高57.5米,占地面积47000平方米,外看有三大层,内却有七层.这种建筑的结构非常少见,相当于我们现在19层楼的房子那么高.登上楼顶向下望,似乎所有的东西都缩小了几十倍,一眼看不到赣江的头。
这座阁楼不但雄伟而且美观.每层屋檐的下方,都雕刻了一些精美的图案.柱子都是朱红色的,墙上有一排排整整齐齐的棱形的小格子,楼顶两边有两个翘起来的小角,很像一艘小船.阁楼里面的门上刻着一只鸟站在枝头上,另一只鸟飞过来,好像在回首相望.刻上去的这些图案真像活了一样,许许多多的游客都被它们迷住了!
